Where is the God(Allah)

Where is the God(Allah)?
Why God is silence ?
************************************
So many mosques have been destroyed and many peoples died due to bomb blast by evils in Iraq ,Pakistan and others part of world.
God is helpless and silence, it is continuing. It is very sad and pathetic. It hurt to us very much. It seems that the evils are more powerful and world is control by evils. God is helpless here.
It also seems that God has no feeling or there are no God in the world.

God has no heart

God has no heart and feeling
**************************************
From Africa and Asia to Latin America and the Near East, there are 870 million people in the world who do not get enough food to lead a normal, active life.
There are God and many God lovers in the world. God lovers and believers are very active to show them that they love God very much. They would like to sacrifice their life in the name of God. They are very busy to show protest if anything done against God.
But unfortunately this God lovers and believers are silence about poverty. God and God lovers become deaf and dumb. It seems that God has no heart and feeling.
We know that God love mankind. But there are no mankind done by God in reality. It seems that God has no sweet heart or there are no God.
God and religions are made by peoples only for abuse!

God can't save Himself

Photo: God can not save temples, mosques, churches from natural calamity.God can not save Himself from natural calamity and God is helpless. Nature is more powerful than God.
So here question is that nature created the God or God created the nature.
Obviously it is clear that nature created the God or there are no God because nature is more powerful. God is just believe but nothing.Nature's control by natural rule and that's mean law of physics.
How God can save us? Does God can do anything? Where is the God magic?
**********************************
More than 1000 peoples died and many temples ,roads, houses damage by flood due to heavy rain in Uttarakhand,India. Relief and rescue operation are going on by Indian armies .My sympathy and great condolence to the affected peoples.
Most of the peoples believe in God here. They also believe that it was a God wish. God lovers also believe that God become angry to us.They would like to pray God in any situation. What a believe and what a God wish! They also believe that God is never responsible for any bad thing which are not good for humankind.God is always good and men are always responsible for bad happened here. So pray to God and God will save you! What a blind God believe! God bless you.

God and religion can not give us True Happiness and Peace

“God can't give us peace and happiness apart from Himself because there is no such thing.”

― C.S. Lewis
*******************
How to Find True Happiness and Peace
1.Be generous. Volunteer for social work, practice random acts of kindness, and be generous. The act of giving always makes the heart more content with self. Peace and selfishness do not coexist very well.
2.Love Yourself. Don't be too hard on yourself. No one is perfect. Love yourself and love life in all its forms. Be open to accept things in a positive manner.
3Ignore negative comments. Remain cool and calm as a person. Ignore the negativity (negative comments, happenings, people) around you.Be understanding: many times hard feelings exist due to not understanding the person's view point. When you start putting yourself in the person's place you begin to understand why he says what he says and you start breaking the wall of ego.
4Be friendly. Be friendly and helpful toward everyone you meet. Being friendly does not mean you have to bring home everyone you meet, but you can always put up a good, warm behavior in front of others. When you give positive vibes, you will attract positive vibes.
5Never argue. Do not enter into an argument for silly things. Nothing is worth fighting over and you cannot change other people. Remember these two rules before picking up a fight. It's not worth it after all.
6Stay busy. Keep yourself busy with something constructive. But do keep some time for relaxation too.
7Think positive. Always. Take lessons from the events in your life. Do not get disappointed by anything. If you think positive, things will turn positive for you sooner or later.
8Be yourself. Never compare yourself with others. Everyone is unique in this world. Cherish the fact and feel nice about yourself. You have everything including a nice heart.
9Forgive and forget. Don't let hatred breed and settle inside you. If you forgive you will be able to forget. Forgiving may not be easy but it brings you tremendous peace. Forgive for your sake, if not theirs.
10Be honest. Be honest with yourself and what you want, and what you expect from yourself and others. It is not easy at first. If you know what you really want, then you could achieve your goals easier.
11Stay calm. Being calm keeps a person from making hasty decisions. Once something is said or done, it cannot be taken back. It takes practice, so hang in there.
12Making assumptions can be painful. You are only in your head. You never know what someone else is thinking or what they meant by their comment. Ask questions if you want to be sure.
13Remember not to take things personally. Rarely anything anyone does is about you. It is based on their own dreams and desires. You never know how someone else's life is going.
14Give service to others. True happiness can only be found when you stop worrying about yourself and try to look out for those around you. Helping family members, co-workers, and friends can give your life meaning and joy. Selfishness, on the other hand, will only provide temporary pleasure. Obviously there are some aspects of life where you must focus on yourself, like your body's need for food and sleep, but only focusing on your own needs will never result in true happiness.
15Smile. Smiling is infectious. If you make yourself smile for a minute, you are using all kinds of facial muscles, and you can't help but feel good.
16Do, not try. If you can accomplish even the smallest goal, it will pave the way for bigger and better things. With goals accomplished, it sends a message to yourself, that you are a winner, and can do what ever you set your mind to.
17Never, ever, give up! You are unique and special in all the world. If life knocks you down get back up. Failing is not in getting knocked down, it is in staying down.
18Always be true to yourself. Choose your own way of life without being pressured by anyone else. As an example of this, noble prize winner Bertrand Russel, a great advocate of peace, chose to be an atheist.
19Know that by being truthful and positive and by helping others, you can have more.
20Cherish the values of love generosity courage and kindness in their own right as being worthy of getting you closer to happiness,
21Be simply good it is advantageous to you as an individual , and to the human species as a whole and remember the words of Confucius' Truth and sincerity is the basis of all virtue'
22Have a purpose in life and here I quote a is the meaning and purpose of life , the whole aim and end of human existence'

Hinduism is not a religion

Re - Redefining Hinduism
While defining religion is a theological exercise, many a times the
tribunals and judges are pontificating on the nature of Hindusim on the
basis of common sense and their own perceptions of it. Many of these
perceptions are dictated by the contemporary politics, which wants to
present Hinduism in a different light. It was a great surprise that a
recent Income Tax Tribunal held that Hinduism is not a religion and stated
that Shiva, Hanuman or Goddess Durga are "superpowers of the universe" and
do not represent a particular religion. (March 2013) The Income Tax
Appellate Tribunal, Nagpur, in a recent order, said the expenses on
worshipping Hindu deities and maintenance of temple could not be considered
as religious activity.

They went on to declare that "Technically, Hinduism is neither a religion
nor Hindus form a religious community.” Shiv Mandir Devsthan Panch
Committee Sanstan' had argued that the temple run by it was open to
everyone, irrespective of caste and creed and so "the temple does not
belong to a particular religion and that installing idols is not a
religious activity".

This is fairly hilarious. Idol worship is a major part of Hinduism, while
religions like Islam and Christianity don’t resort to worship of idols. It
is a Hindu religious activity, that’s how the whole Ram Temple issue could
be built up and Babri mosque was demolished on the pretext of fulfilling a
religious obligation of restoring Ram Temple, where the idols of Ram Lalla
could be installed. Then, what is this new definition of ‘*superpowers*’ in
the form of Shiva, Hanuman and Durga? Contemporary times mired in the world
of politics regards the United States of America as the global superpower.
In tribunal’s verdict we are being told about the Universal superpowers,
Durga, Hanuman and Shiva amongst others. The learned tribunal needed to
know that in Hinduism the concept of supernatural power goes through
different stages. It begins with polytheism with Gods and Goddesses looking
after one faction of the power. So you have Gods and Goddesses taking care
of rains (Indra), air (Marut), power (Durga), knowledge (Sarswati), and
even sex (Kam Devata) and wine (Som Devata). From here one goes to
trithiesm where one God creates (Brahma), one maintains (Vishnu) and one
destroys (Shiva). From here, one goes to the concept of monotheism
(Ishwar). As such Hanuman is a mythological character, servant of Lord Ram
and also referred to as God.

All this is a part of Hindu religion, to think that this is universal, applicable to all
religious beliefs is a travesty of truth. Different sects of Hinduism worship
different of these Gods. Some of these Gods are a reincarnation of Lord
Vishnu like Ram and Krishna. In Greek mythology one does see a parallel to
polytheism. In Christian tradition tri-thiesm of Father, Son and the Holy
Spirit is very much there. These are religion specific beliefs and don’t
apply to other religions. In contrast to the verdict of the tribunal one
knows that some religions like Jainism and Budhhidm don’t have faith in
supernatural power. Some traditions, which developed in this part of the
globe like Charvak also did not have faith in supernatural power.

Coming to the conclusion of the tribunal that Hinduism is not a religion
because there are diverse trends, this can be rejected right away. True,
Hinduism has diverse trends but that is because this religion is not based
on the teachings of a single Prophet. It has evolved-been constructed over
a period of time. So the diversity is very much there, still all this does
fit into the criterion laid down for understanding a religion.

Defining Hinduism in such is a difficult task for sure. The reasons for
this are multiple. One, Hinduism is not a prophet based religion, it has no
single founder and two, religions developing in this part of the world have
been lumped together as Hinduism and three; there are so many diversities
in the practices of Hinduism that all streams cannot be painted with a
single brush. To this one may add the the practices and beliefs originating
at different times continue to exist side by side. Lord Satyanarayn and
Santoshi Maa do exist along with the concept of Ishwar (God) and a Nirankar
Nirguna Ishwar (God beyond the attributes of qualities and form at the same
time.

The major point of departure for Hinduism is the imprint of caste system on
the major aspects of Hinduism, the religious sanctity for social
inequality, caste system being the soul of its scriptures and practices.
The conditions under which the terms came into being also tell a lot about
the real meaning of those terms. Aryans who came in a series of migrations
were pastorals and were polytheists. During the early period we see the
coming into being of Vedas, which give the glimpse of value system of that
period and also the number of gods with diverse portfolios, the prevalence
of polytheism. Laws of Manu were the guiding principles of society. This
Vedic phase merged into Brahminic phase. During this phase elite of the
society remained insulated from the all and sundry. At this point of time
caste system provided a perfect mechanism for this insulation of elite.
Buddhism’s challenge to caste system forced Brahmanism to come up with a
phase, which can be called Hinduism. During this the cultic practices were
broadened and public ceremonies and rituals were devised to influence the
broad masses to wean them away from Buddhism.

It is interesting to note that till 8th century the so called Hindu texts
do not have the word Hindu itself. This word came into being with the Arabs
and Middle East Muslims coming to this side. They called the people living
on this side of Sindhu as Hindus. The word Hindu began as a geographical
category. It was later that religions developing in this part started being
called as Hindu religions. Due to caste system there was no question of
prosetylization. On the contrary the victims of caste system made all the
efforts to convert to other religions, Buddhism, Islam and partly
Christianity and later to Sikhism.

Within Hindu religion two streams ran parallel, Brahmanism and Shramanism.
Shramans defied the brahminical control and rejected caste system. While
Brahminism remained dominant, other streams of Hinduism also prevailed,
Tantra, Bhakti, Shaiva, Siddhanta etc. Shramans did not conform to the
Vedic norms and values. Brahminism categorized religious practices by caste
while Shramanism rejected caste distinctions. Brahminical Hinduism was the
most dominant tendency as it was associated with rulers. Sidetracking the
Hindu traditions of lower castes, Brahminism came to be recognised as
Hinduism in due course of time. This phenomenon began with Magadh-Mauryan
Empire after subjugating Budhhism and Jainism in particular. Later with
coming of British who were trying to understand Indian society, Hindu
identity, based on Brahminical norms was constructed for all non Muslims
and non Christians. Vedas and other Brahminical texts were projected as the
Hindu texts. Thus the diversity of Hinduism was put under the carpet and
Brahminism came to be recognised as Hinduism. So Hinduism as understood as
a religion is based on Brahminical rituals, texts and authority of Brahmins.

Hinduism as prevails today is a religion in all sense of the sociological
characteristics. It is dominated by Brahminism is another matter. To say
that Hindus are not a religious community is a wrong formulation to say the
least.

Does the Quran really contain dozens of verses promoting violence?

ALLAH-HU.GIF

Summary Answer:
The Quran contains at least 109 verses that call Muslims to war with nonbelievers for the sake of Islamic rule. Some are quite graphic, with commands to chop off heads and fingers and kill infidels wherever they may be hiding. Muslims who do not join the fight are called 'hypocrites' and warned that Allah will send them to Hell if they do not join the slaughter.

Unlike nearly all of the Old Testament verses of violence, the verses of violence in the Quran are mostly open-ended, meaning that they are not restrained by the historical context of the surrounding text. They are part of the eternal, unchanging word of Allah, and just as relevant or subjective as anything else in the Quran.

The context of violent passages is more ambiguous than might be expected of a perfect book from a loving God, however this can work both ways. Most of today's Muslims exercise a personal choice to interpret their holy book's call to arms according to their own moral preconceptions about justifiable violence. Apologists cater to their preferences with tenuous arguments that gloss over historical fact and generally do not stand up to scrutiny. Still, it is important to note that the problem is not bad people, but bad ideology.

Unfortunately, there are very few verses of tolerance and peace to abrogate or even balance out the many that call for nonbelievers to be fought and subdued until they either accept humiliation, convert to Islam, or are killed. Muhammad's own martial legacy - and that of his companions - along with the remarkable stress on violence found in the Quran have produced a trail of blood and tears across world history.

Hinduism is a violent faith

**********************

There’s a chapter in Subhash Gatade’s below-the-belt book Godse’s Children (Pharos Media). It is: “Shastrpujas: what’s religious about worshipping weapons?” Contrary to the general perception of Hinduism being an irenic (peace-loving!) faith, it’s a religion that has violence embedded in its fabric and bloodshed in its spirit. Because of its inherent violence and obscurantism, two philosophies alienated themselves from its wider canvas and came to be known as Buddhism and Jainism (History and doctrine of Buddhism by Edward Upham, 1829).

If Hindus consider a few Quranic verses, quoted out of context, as violent and potentially dangerous, one finds Hinduism’s all ancient scriptures advocating the use of weapons and justifying bloodshed. Nationalist Indian historians are happy to heap blame for the destruction of Hindu temples on the waves of Muslim iconoclasts who wreaked havoc on their country from the time of Muhammad ibn Al-Qasim onwards. He came to Sindh in 712 AD. They’ve less to say about the destructive role of Brahmin zealots in the overthrow of Buddhist viharas and the absorption of Buddhist beliefs and iconography into reformed Hinduism - just as they remain largely silent about the impact on the rest of Asia of what was India’s greatest export: the civilising influence of Buddhism.

In these same circles, the pioneering work of orientalists such as William Jones, James Princep and Cunningham is often portrayed as part of an anti-Brahmin, pro-Buddhist conspiracy of “Britishers” against Mother India. Adi Shankar was so paranoid to “save” his great Hinduism that he wrote a treatise in Sanskrit justifying the weapons and even “ritualistic sacrifice” to the deities. To him, Shankar’s Trishul (Trident) and Durga’s so many weapons in as many hands were exhortations to the devotees to emulate their deities in every respect, especially in terms of violence. That’s why he’d lay down the conditions that in philosophical discourses with Buddhist monks and scholars, whoever would lose, would have to resort to self-immolation. Many Buddhists monks immolated themselves having been defeated by the redoubtable, but extremely cunning Adi Shankar. Orientalist David Gardley opined that “Since deities are often the mental manifestations and imaginary projections of a race, community or a homogeneous group, it superimposes its own thoughts, views and ethos on the deities”.

The very mentality of the followers of Hinduism has been violent, blatantly violent at that. There’re instances recorded by the great historian and professor of history at Dhaka University Professor Ramesh Chandra Majumdar when Hindus, especially Hindu-Brahmins of the Eastern India, massacred non-Brahmin Hindus when Muslim invaders passed through their villages! Such desecrated Hindus had no right to live, believed the Brahmins and quoted from their antiquated scriptures, why gods wanted to annihilate such defiled Hindus (Oxford University Essays on Hinduism, 1965). It’s but obvious that its deities also became like that to suit this violent streak. Hinduism, “the existing paganism” (Edmund Blunden’s phrase) always approved of violence, justifying it as a measure to thwart challenges from outside and within.

History will bail me out that the Deccan plateau was red with blood of the Shaivites and Lingaites. Shaivites claimed that it was Lord Shiva’s divine order to kill the followers of the opponent sect. And that’s why he brandished his trident. Krishna, if at all he existed (though chances of his existence are very very bleak), was the main cause of Kurukshetra that witnessed unprecedented bloodshed. That’s the reason, scriptures of Jainism consign him to Raurav, the seventh and the lowest hell. When a religion believes so much in sanguinary myths and violent ways through its deities, how can it claim to be non-violent and peace-loving? Peace’s at loggerheads with such blood-thirsty faith. Brutally speaking, Hinduism institutionalised violence.

However hard the Hindu apologists may try to explain away why their gods and goddesses are shown brandishing weapons and oozing blood from mouth as in the case of Kali and other demi-gods, they can’t convince any sane mind. Even a child will refuse to be convinced by their imbecile logic and insane arguments. The bottomline is, Hinduism like many other faiths is violent and opportunistic.

Abuse of Women by Religions

Abuse of Women by Religions
****************************
God is one and God for always good and also for mankind.
God never like discrimination but all religions create discrimination. God is abuse by religions widely.
**************************
Women are suppressed, disregarded and abused by every religion in the world. They are considered inferior to men by these organizations and are therefore condemned to be a second class type of person. A great many women have no rights at all. As a consequence, the men, especially through their religious faiths, threaten and strictly prohibit the utilization of an unlimited amount of talent and abilities within women. These forms of discrimination occur within Christianity and its sects and also in all other religions and their associated sects, as the following brief excerpts prove:

Islam – Sura 4

"Men are above the women, because Allah has given the one part a superiority above the other."

Confucius

"One hundred girls are not worth as much as one boy."

Hinduism

"A woman must never enjoy independence."

Christian Bible: Paul to the Ephesians in the New Testament

"The women shall be servants to their men who are their masters.
**************************

The above quotes clearly demonstrate the value of women based upon a religious viewpoint and one upheld by many men. Still, these discriminatory words against women, though spoken in the past, nevertheless prevail even today. Such attitudes also guarantee the abuse of women as being mere birthing machines without being provided the necessary means with which to fight back for their human rights. This, in turn, ensures that many evils will freely forge ahead, at an accelerated rate and in a more irretrievable manner unless men finally realize that in God's eyes men and women are spiritually equal and have equal rights in every respect.

Why did God create men and women? Think about logically. The answer, of course, is for procreation. The physical differences between the sexes are strictly for producing children, their nurturing and protection. Isn't procreation a 50/50 process? It takes a man and a woman in an equally important role to have children. Once again the study of God's Creation proves the truth. Men and women have equal standing before God.

Religions, which are man-made, have all established evil mechanisms to control and exploit women.

The Catholic Church, for example, has erected a very influential and powerful defense against the rights of women and their own decision-making aspirations concerning all aspects of life. Women are not allowed to hold positions of authority and responsibility, and they are ruled over by the men of the church in a way similar to house servants. The criminal Holy Chair of Rome, respectively the Pope and all his underlings, have a horrendous power, whereby they lead all women and therefore all life on the planet under their evil spells into injustice and misery.

The Pope and the College of Cardinals at the Vatican constitute the highest authority of the Catholic Church, which has a worldwide following of approximately 1 billion believers of all races. Many means were concocted by the Popes, their cardinals and others in that church over the centuries in order to discriminate against women; to curtail their rights and to permit the continuation of the huge lie that women are not equal to men. All of these discriminatory practices are against the true teachings of Immanuel.

One last item must be mentioned here concerning the Catholic Church; Anything the Pope says, any Pope, is hostile to women, humanity and life, and must simply be ignored. His prattle is irrelevant. What he says is without actual correlation to the issues now confronting the world and humanity.

The truth is women will have equal rights and responsibilities in the new spiritual society of the future. All areas of life will have equal opportunities for men and women without exception; of course, always taken into consideration will be the differences of the male and female physique. In all tasks, duties, and careers men and women will work together as equals. In family life women with children will nurse, educate and care for the children in every way, putting aside their careers temporarily, and men will help in all family matters as well as have careers. Children will be raised with a spiritual education first and foremost by both parents and allowed to freely choose their own careers. In all of this, Astrology and communication with the spirit world will be used to make the best decisions.

Do u really follow God?

Photo: Do u really follow God?
Do u really love God?
Do u really believe in God?
How much u really love percentage of God?

God love one humanity religion.
but peoples love their religions.
God created one human being and one world.
peoples created discrimination and different world.
God is one and He created all.
peoples created many Gods and Goddess.
God love tolerance and respect to others peoples.
peoples do not like tolerance and respect to the others.
God love all human as a son.
How peoples killed others in the name of Gods and religions and others causes?
God love all men.
Peoples love their family ,country and their own interest.
God love peace and unity.
peoples love money and power.
God does not create any religions.
peoples created religions for their own interest.
so it is very easy that peoples who say that they believe in God,follow God and love God are absolutely wrong conception. God never allow and recognized any religions but peoples follow their religions view not God view.so how can we say that we believe and follow God?God never allow to killing peoples but peoples would like to continue it in the name of God and religions and others causes.
Are we really follow and love God heartily?

Does Gods for peace?

HOW WE GET PEACE AND HAPPINESS IN OUR LIFE
Though in our day-today life we regard other people, as separate from us, as separate units, this is only a mental viewpoint, convenient for functioning in our day to day life. From a higher state of consciousness, all are One, and the terms "I", "you", "he", "she" and "they" are not real. There is only the One Spirit, Consciousness, which manifests in limitless forms and ways. The external forms may be different, but the Spirit within them is one undivided Spirit. It is the mind, which lets us believe and feel that we are separate from others, but we are all part of the same One Spirit manifesting and expressing itself through different forms.

Only God have seen the end of war.

“Only God have seen the end of war.”
*********************************
We are addicted to God and religions thoughts. We cannot change anything if we cannot change our thinking.”God and religions tend to complicate our lives, as if we already complicated enough.”
No matter how much suffering you went through, you never wanted to let go believe in God and religions !.”god is fighting against God . Religions are fighting against the religions. Country is fighting against the country. peoples are fighting against the peoples. God silence and God is crying!

My God is the best

My God is the best
My religion is the best
******************************
Every religion claimed that their God and religion are the best. There are so many God in different religions. All religions only think their religion only. They always forgot love, humanity, mankind and truth! It is very pathetic and unfortunate. Most of the cases some religion lovers criticised others religions and they are creating tension and hatred among the healthy societies. It is not clear that which religions and God are the best? This question have been creating the question about the existence of God!
But the truth of our life is peace and happiness. Love and humanity are the above religions and God. God love the love and humanity not religions. And this the truth.

Jihad means not holy war

Does God like violence ,war and jihad ?
******************************
The word jihad is widely used in media and misuse by extremists, politicians, opportunists ,selfish peoples, for their own interest and they are exploiting the youths and societies by creating violence and hatred in the world .It is very unfortunate and sad to us.Some peoples, organisations and some media who criticised jihad are also creating misconceptions among the societies purposefully in the world. What is jihad? What is the significance and real meaning of jihad? There so many misconception about jihad.
**********************************************
Misconception
JIHAD MEANS HOLY WAR
In Arabic, the word jihad means to strive, struggle and exert effort. It is a central and broad Islamic concept that primarily means to struggle against evil inclinations within oneself.
Islam is not confined to the boundaries of the individual but extends to the welfare of society and humanity in general. An individual cannot keep improving himself/herself in isolation from what happens in their community or in the world at large. Hence it also means struggle to improve the quality of life in society and the struggle against injustice, oppression and tyranny.

The word 'Jihad' is generally misunderstood and consequently evokes strong reactions. It is a word frequently used in the press, directly or subtly, to mean holy war. In fact the term "holy war" was coined in Europe during the period of the Crusades. It is an alien concept to the Islamic framework. War is not 'holy.'

Spanish Civil War seen as religious conflict,

Spanish Civil War seen as religious conflict, biographer says

Biographer Joseph Pearce says the famous South African poet Roy Campbell saw the Spanish Civil War as a religious conflict between Christianity and atheistic modernism.

In an interview with CNA, Pearce said Campbell – who was the inspiration behind the character Aragorn in Tolkien's “Lord of the Rings” – believes “the war in Spain was a battle between Christian tradition and atheistic modernism. In other words, he saw it as a religious conflict.”

As the publication nears for his new book, “Roy Campbell: Spain Saved My Soul,” Pierce pointed to an episode in the poet’s life in which he saved various manuscripts written by St. John of the Cross from anti-clerical forces.

While living in Toledo in the 1930s, Campbell and his wife Mary became close friends with the Carmelite friars, “one of whom became their confessor,” while “Mary became a third order Carmelite.”

“For this reason the friars confided in the Campbells and considered them the best people to safeguard the extremely valuable papers of the great saint and poet,” Pearce said.

During “the assault by anti-clerical forces on his home, Campbell was worried that his family would be killed, especially if the manuscripts were discovered.

Faced with this mortal situation, he prayed to St. John of the Cross and promised to translate his poetry into English if he and his family survived,” Pearce recounted.

Campbell was considered one of the greatest translators of St. John of the Cross as well as one of the most significant poets of his time, the biographer added. “Critics acclaimed him, and his works became bestsellers.”

Although Campbell was “never very political, at least not in terms of ideology,” he “passionately opposed the Nazis as well as the Communists, and he fought in the British army during World War II,” Pearce said.

His estrangement from the Bloomsbury Circle – a group of early 20th century writers who criticized religion – was inevitable, even before his conversion to Catholicism, Pearce added.

“He had already distanced himself from its hedonistic progressivism since its beginnings and never felt comfortable with the group,” Pearce said.

Does God know ?

Does God know ?
In short, 809 million people have died in religious war.
*********************************************
Deaths over history: religious vs. nonreligous
I heard a while back that more people had died in the name of Jesus than in the name of Hitler. I’d always wondered if it was true, it seemed perfectly plausible given the persistence and viciousness of the Vatican during the Crusades. Unfortunately, I had found it difficult to find a number of deaths from the Crusades. But, I found in Google Answers, this webpage that chronicles numerous human conflicts and includes a category for religious conflicts. The numbers are hazy, of course, when we’re speaking about conflicts hundreds or thousands of years ago when death tallies were not a priority or of mild interest like they are today.
In short, 809 million people have died in religious wars. That’s nearly a billion people.
Oftentimes, a retort is that secular ideals and Godless Communism have killed many more. It is true that Stalin, among others, slaughtered his own people by the millions during the industrialization of Soviet Russia. By comparison, 209 million have died in the name of Communism. Some 62 million died during World War II, civilian and military, on all sides. Conclusively, more people have died in the name of religion than in the name of Communism or Hitler, or the two combined times two.

World Hunger and Poverty: (Source)

852 million people across the world are hungry, up from 842 million a year ago.
Every day, more than 16,000 children die from hunger-related causes--one child every five seconds.
In essence, hunger is the most extreme form of poverty, where individuals or families cannot afford to meet their most basic need for food.
Hunger manifests itself in many ways other than starvation and famine. Most poor people who battle hunger deal with chronic undernourishment and vitamin or mineral deficiencies, which result in stunted growth, weakness and heightened susceptibility to illness.
Countries in which a large portion of the population battles hunger daily are usually poor and often lack the social safety nets we enjoy, such as soup kitchens, food stamps, and job training programs. When a family that lives in a poor country cannot grow enough food or earn enough money to buy food, there is nowhere to turn for help.

Does God feel our pain!

Does God feel our pain?
The German theologian Jürgen Moltmann wrote in The Crucified God:

“…a God who cannot suffer is poorer than any man. For a God who is incapable of suffering is a being who cannot be involved. Suffering and injustice do not affect him. And because he is so completely insensitive, he cannot be affected or shaken by anything. He cannot weep, for he has no tears. But the one who cannot suffer cannot love either. So he is also a loveless being.
